Baylor basketball snags highly sought-after transfer target from Big South Conference

Baylor had a need for a prominent backcourt option this offseason.

With the departure of guard Manu Lecomte, Tyson Jolly transferring and Jake Lindsey entering his senior season, Baylor had been active in the transfer guard department. After gaining Davion Mitchell earlier this offseason, the Bears have added another guard in UNC-Ashville's Macio Teague.

Teague was the Big South Conference's freshman of the year in 2017, and was named a First-Team All-Conference selection as well. The freshman guard averaged 16.7 points and 4.4 rebounds last season. Teague will have to sit out the 2018-19 season per NCAA transfer rules.
