With Lacy Doubtful, Green Bay Signs Davis
According to rotoworld.com, “NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Eddie Lacy has “more than a sprained ankle” and is expected to miss “several” weeks.” If Lacy does in fact miss multiple weeks, there will be more opportunities for backups Ty Montgomery (who’s actually a wide receiver) and newly-acquired Knile Davis. James Starks, the usual backup for Lacy, is “likely” out for multiple weeks after knee surgery, according to FOX Sports via ESPN.
When reading about all the different options the Packers are trying to come up with to fill Lacy’s spot, I got the impression that Montgomery or Davis aren’t worth adding as I don’t see them getting enough quality touches.
