Ray Lewis Gives $1,000 To Support Youth Team Abruptly Removed From League

Baltimore Ravens hall of fame linebacker Ray Lewis apparently gave $1,000 to support the Reisterstown youth football program kicked out of its league under controversial circumstances last month.

The 11-U Reisterstown Mustangs set up a GoFundMe page late last month to support travel expenses, hotel rooms and registration fees for tournaments they've since been invited to in Georgia and Delaware. They aim to raise $8,000. Including the Sunday donation attributed to Lewis, they're only $1,500 shy of that mark.

The team learned they were removed from the league just as playoffs were going to start in the Carroll County Youth Football and Cheerleading League.
