When I started what was then Ravens247.com back in 2003, one of the things I did was to walk through the tailgate lots, take pics of fans and post them on our site. It was one of our gorilla marketing tactics. Inevitably, I would run into Wes Henson, aka Captain Defense.
Wes was bigger than life in stature and in personality. Always upbeat, always approachable, never refusing a photo op despite the many, many requests. He loved his community, loved the Ravens and of course he embraced defense, the thing that at one time defined the Baltimore Ravens and the town they represented.
