When the offseason began, the Ravens thought that Crockett Gillmore would need surgery to repair labrum tears in both of his shoulders, a diagnosis that would have likely forced the starting tight end to miss part of training camp. However, a recent follow-up revealed that Gillmore, who has already had one shoulder repaired, doesn’t need surgery in the other shoulder.
The development could mean that Gillmore will be on the field in time for organized team activities.
“That was great news for us,” Ravens coach John Harbaugh said at the NFL owners meetings.
