Ravens surprisingly receive only a sixth-round compensatory pick in 2018

OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- The Baltimore Ravens received an unwanted surprise Friday, when they only received a sixth-round compensatory pick in the 2018 draft.

The Ravens had been projected to get a third-round comp pick, but they were awarded with one that fell short of that expectation.

What hurt Baltimore was the injury to offensive tackle Rick Wagner late last season. Wagner, who left the Ravens for the Detroit Lions in free agency last season, injured his ankle, limiting him to 13 games. Snap counts figure into the league's comp pick formula.
