The Baltimore Ravens had an encouraging 2025 preseason debut from many rookies and players looking to make their 53-man roster ahead of the regular season. They defeated the Indianapolis Colts 24-16, but the real story was the impressive showing from their deep roster.
Baltimore’s youth was on full display against the Colts, flying around the field, making plays, and setting the tone on every drive. Specifically, one rookie is already knocking on the door for starting reps, and he was not even one of the team’s 11 draft picks in April.
Linebacker Jay Higgins was one of the more well-known undrafted signings coming out of the 2025 NFL Draft, and although he had a somewhat quiet camp, he is quickly putting it together in game action.
