The Baltimore Ravens on Thursday announced that they have re-signed veteran safety Tony Jefferson.
Jefferson, 30, signed with the Ravens practice squad in December. The safety played in just two games last season with the San Francisco 49ers prior to coming to Baltimore.
Jefferson was quickly elevated to the Ravens active roster due to a plethora of injuries the team faced in the secondary. He played in the final four games of the season.
Prior to his short time in San Francisco, Jefferson was a member of the Ravens for three seasons from 2017-2019. The safety started in 35 games for the team before he suffered an ACL tear in Week 5 of the 2019 season.
