The Baltimore Ravens are moving forward without Marty Mornhinweg running the offense.
The Athletic reports reports tight ends coach and assistant head coach Greg Roman was promoted Friday to offensive coordinator. Mornhinweg, who still had one year left on his contract, will remain on the staff, but in a different role.
Robert Lang talks to ESPN's Jamison Hensley about the shift:
The move follows the Ravens' heartbreaking playoff loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, who managed to quiet Lamar Jackson for much of the first half. It's also the first personnel move made since Eric DeCosta officially became the team's new general manager on Friday, succeeding Ozzie Newsome.
