Ravens place Ben Cleveland on injured reserve

The Baltimore Ravens took another blow on the injury front Monday night. Rookie offensive guard Ben Cleveland was carted off the field in the first half of the team’s thrilling comeback win over the Indianapolis Colts in primetime. He did not return to the game.

On Tuesday, the team announced that he was going on short-term injured reserve.

Cleveland was selected in the third round of this year’s draft out of Georgia with the No. 94 overall pick. He is the latest player to join a long list of Ravens to be placed on IR, bringing the team’s total to 16 — tied with the Tennessee Titans for the most in the league according to spotrac.
