Ravens OT Ronnie Stanley to have season-ending ankle surgery

The Baltimore Ravens announce announced on Tuesday that offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley will have season-ending ankle surgery.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that Stanley will undergo surgery today and will be operated on by Dr. Robert Anderson.

The news comes nearly one year to the date he suffered a major ankle injury in 2020.

Stanley last played in Week 1 against the Las Vegas Raiders but would be sidelined after and has not been on the field since.

The 2019 All-Pro left tackle released a statement on Tuesday detailing his decision and hopes to return in time for the 2022 season.
