Ravens: Flacco To Sit Out Preseason Games, Expected To Return As Regular Season Starter

We are now getting a a better idea on when we will see Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco back on the playing field.

According to a release from the team, Flacco has been re-examined, and his progress from a back issue is good.

The quarterback will practice in the preseason, but is not expected to play in the remaining preseason games.

The team added that the plan is for Flacco to be the starting quarterback against Cincinnati in the regular season opener on Sept. 10.

In other Ravens injury news, offensive lineman Alex Lewis aggravated his shoulder, and it has not responded to treatment.
