This is quite the surprise as Williams appeared to produce a strong camp this year. That being said, multiple coaches commented on Williams’, and fellow pass-rusher Tyus Bowser’s, lack of production.
During training camp, defensive line coach Joe Cullen responded to a question about the ‘clock ticking’ for the young pass rushers.
“You gotta do it right now,” Cullen said. “The clock has ticked, and it’s ready to explode, so you gotta do it in these games.
