The Baltimore Ravens say cornerback Jimmy Smith is safe after he and his family were robbed at gunpoint Tuesday at a Los Angeles hotel.
“We are aware of the situation involving Jimmy Smith," team officials said in a statement Friday. "We have spoken with Jimmy, and he and his family are safe.”
The Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec reports Smith and his family were followed from Los Angeles International Airport to their hotel.
