'Prayers answered:' Ravens' Lamar Jackson avoids serious injury

OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson avoided serious injury after getting his foot stepped on during Wednesday's practice, coach John Harbaugh said.

X-rays on Jackson's injured foot revealed no damage, according to Harbaugh.

"He's fine," Harbaugh said after Thursday's practice. "He's going to be good."

Harbaugh did acknowledge that there was uncertainty Wednesday when the two-time NFL Most Valuable Player left the practice field 40 minutes early. But Harbaugh breathed a sigh of relief when the team got the encouraging X-ray results.

"I told the guys, 'Prayers do get answered,'" Harbaugh said.
