OTL: Forget All Else – The Green Dot Saga is Solved!

Ravens fans have had a somewhat peculiar fascination with the infamous green dot.

The helmet marker is used to clearly illustrate what player on defense will be receiving radio communication from the coaching staff, and then relay the play call to the rest of the defense. When the dot was moved to former Ravens safety Chuck Clark a few years ago, the response by many in the fan base was… well, strangely maniacal.

It began being seen as a knock on young linebacker Patrick Queen, in that he supposedly didn’t have a solid enough grasp on the defense to regurgitate what the coaches wanted.
