Marquise Brown injury worse than originally expected; Bateman held out due to “muscle tightness”

Today was the third-straight practice which did not feature wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown. According to Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh, Hollywood’s absence is due to the injury severity larger than originally anticipated.

“Marquise still has his issue with his hamstring,” Harbaugh said. “It turned out to be worse than they told him it was going to be. So he’s out until he’s back with a hamstring [injury].”

When Harbaugh was asked about the injury on July 29, Harbaugh believed it to be mild.

“Not serious,” Harbaugh said. “Probably more precautionary than anything in terms of just making sure the muscle health continues to be there early in camp to just build him up to the reps we want to get him to.
