Longtime Ravens executive Chad Alexander to leave for the New York Jets

The Ravens saw one of their longtime front office members finally get the opportunity to run a franchise recently when Joe Douglas was hired as the general manager of the Jets. Douglas, who spent the last several years in Philadelphia under Howie Roseman, was New York’s No. 1 priority in their GM search. Gang green got their man after rolling out a serious red carpet for him following a drawn out negotiation period.

Douglas was a scout with Baltimore from 2000 up until 2014, when he went to join the Chicago Bears as their director of college scouting.
