Lamar Jackson can return to the field, cleared of COVID-19

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is ready to get back on the field after catching COVID-19 for a second time.

The Ravens announced Friday afternoon that Jackson has been reactivated to play, hours after Gus Edwards returned to practice after also catching COVID-19.

Edwards reportedly had COVID-19 first, then Jackson. There has been no confirmation of how Edwards or Jackson caught the virus, but no other players are known to currently be infected with the virus.

This news comes after Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott reissued a mask mandate for the city, regardless of vaccination status.

The Ravens first pre-season game is Saturday, Aug.
