The Ravens' top corner believes he is a top-5 corner after an offseason filled with rehab from Lisfranc surgery.
While many of the NFL's best players were very concerned about their contract situations this offseason, Jimmy Smith was not one of them.
"I don't think I was ever worried about the contract situation. I mean, that always plays out itself. If you are a good player, you get paid, if not, you won't be in the NFL. I'm just glad that it's out of the way."
Truer words have never been spoken, which is why Smith got paid this offseason and the fans were ecstatic about it.
