LAS VEGAS -- In quarterback Lamar Jackson's third training camp practice this summer, he watched rookie wide receiver Rashod Bateman -- the Baltimore Ravens' first-round pick -- drop to the ground in pain, holding his groin while yelling "I popped that s---."
In Jackson's first preseason game, he saw starting running back J.K. Dobbins take a shot to his left knee on a screen pass before getting carted off the field with a season-ending torn ACL.
Then, four days before the regular-season opener, Jackson was on the practice field when running back Gus Edwards tore his ACL, which ended the season for the newly appointed starter.
