Gov. Hogan rebuffs game day reprieve of COVID-19 rules for bars and restaurants

In a normal year, a Baltimore Ravens playoff run would be a boon to bars and restaurants.

But this is far from a normal year, and Gov. Larry Hogan said Tuesday he is in no mood to loosen coronavirus-related restrictions on indoor dining, even for a single game day.

"We're now in the worst part of the pandemic," Hogan said at a news conference. "I'm a big Ravens fan, I'm going to be celebrating the game watching it on TV at home, but I don't think we should be packing the bars to use as superspreader events.
