Former Raven Terrence Cody to be sentenced in Baltimore County animal cruelty case

Former Ravens player Terrence Cody is scheduled to be sentenced Thursday on charges of animal cruelty in Baltimore County.

Cody, 27, faces the possibility of more than two years in jail. He was convicted in November of multiple misdemeanors in connection with the death of his dog Taz, as well as two misdemeanor drug charges.

The dog, a Canary mastiff, lived Cody's former home in Reisterstown. Prosecutors said it starved to death.

Cody will also be sentenced on charges of illegally possessing an alligator and neglecting the alligator.

Cody's girlfriend, Kourtney J. Kelley, 28, was sentenced last month to 60 days.
