Over the weekend we learned that former Ravens center Bradley Bozeman signed a new 1-year, $2.8M deal with the Carolina Panthers. Most observers were surprised by the modest figure.
It’s as if the Panthers went shopping at Ollie’s Bargain Outlet and found a pretty decent center. You have to wonder why at those numbers, Bozeman isn’t still a Raven.
Maybe the Ravens weren’t all that happy with Bozeman’s performance in 2021. Maybe GM Eric DeCosta has an alternative plan in place, now unfolding behind the scenes. Even so, this Bozeman contract, relatively speaking, just doesn’t add up.
