Baltimore Ravens tight end Nick Boyle was ruled out of Sunday night's game at New England after suffering a gruesome left knee injury in the third quarter.
After making a 4-yard catch, Boyle took a direct hit on his left leg, causing it to bend inward. The entire Ravens team surrounded Boyle before he was carted off the field.
Boyle is considered one of the top blocking tight ends in the NFL. He entered Sunday's game as Baltimore's sixth-leading receiver.
It has been a painful night for Baltimore, which has already ruled out nose tackle Brandon Williams (ankle) and listed cornerback Terrell Bonds (knee) as doubtful to return.
