Baltimore Ravens: 2017 NFL Free Agency Recap & Grade

NFL Free Agency isn't over yet, but we're through the first week and over 100 players have signed. Among the teams close to being finished is the Baltimore Ravens. The front office didn't have a boatload of cap space to work with, but they found a way to make a few notable moves this free agency.

This grades include trades, retirements, signings, re-signings and releases. With that in mind, here's our free agency grade for the Ravens.

Key Additions/Re-Signings:
RB Danny Woodhead, NT Brandon Williams, CB Brandon Carr, S Tony Jefferson

The Ravens did most of their work re-signing their own free agents - specifically nose tackle Brandon Williams - but they brought in several notable unrestricted free agents as well. Woodhead will give the Ravens a receiving threat out of the backfield like they've never had with Joe Flacco under center, while both Carr and Jefferson are expected to start right away in the secondary.

Key Losses/Cuts:
WR Kamar Aiken (Colts), FB Kyle Juszczyk (49ers), OG Vladimir Ducasse (Bills), RT Rick Wagner (Lions)

Losing Juszczyk, one of the best fullbacks in the league, hurts. As does Wagner, who has a promising future, but Baltimore simply couldn't afford to keep him. Aiken had fallen out of the receiving rotation last year and Ducasse is replaceable.

Grade: B
All of Baltimore's additions were huge bonuses, so while they lost a few key players, the Ravens have generally upgraded their overall roster to this point.
