While waiting for power to come, Orioles' Mark Trumbo is putting on a base-running clinic

With the cold April weather tamping down some of the expected power in the Orioles lineup through the first week of the season, one of those sluggers who is projected to drive in plenty of runs in the heart of the order is instead creating them with his legs.

Right fielder Mark Trumbo spent the first three games of the season showing his base-running guile, and dispelling the notion that only fast players can run the bases well.

“I guess the casual fan would just look at probably just pure speed,” Trumbo said.
