The Orioles are bringing back their Opening Day starter from a season ago, according to MLB Network’s Jon Morosi. Wade LeBlanc is re-joining the O’s on a minor league deal with an invite to spring training. If he makes the team his salary will be $700,000.
LeBlanc’s time with the Orioles in 2021 was less than ideal. His first two starts were strong enough, allowing a total of five earned runs and striking out seven over 11 innings of work. But it fell apart from there as the southpaw pitched to an 11.
