Don’t look now, but the Orioles’ sweepless streak of 104 is once again in jeopardy.
After the O’s lost the opener to the Blue Jays and last night’s game was rained out, the Orioles must win today’s finale of the (suddenly two-game) series to keep the streak alive.
To do so, they’ll need to hit better than they did on Monday, when all Orioles hitters not named Adley Rutschman were a combined 1-for-29. Perhaps looking to shake things up, Brandon Hyde is unveiling a new-look lineup this afternoon against Jays lefty Yusei Kikuchi. Gunnar Henderson, who had been the Orioles’ leadoff hitter in all 40 games this season, has moved down to the cleanup spot.
