The agent for Delmon Young said his client will take his time in selecting a new team, but a return to the Orioles organization as a minor leaguer is not an option currently being considered.
Young was released by the Orioles on Thursday after the club failed to find a trade partner for the 29-year-old outfielder/DH who was designated for assignment July 1.
Young’s agent, Joel Wolfe, said “three or four teams” have inquired about his client since Thursday’s release, but no deal was imminent this weekend. Wolfe said Young will patiently look for the best opportunity for playing time on a club that has a chance at making the playoffs.
