ST. PETERSBURG -- Mark Trumbo was not in Friday's lineup against the Rays and will likely be placed on the 10-day disabled list following Friday's game, Orioles manager Buck Showalter said.
Trumbo -- who was sidelined earlier this week in Chicago -- received a cortisone injection in his right knee and would be unavailable for at least a few more days. He underwent an MRI on Friday morning, which showed some arthritis and runner's knee (chondromalacia), but no structural damage.
"Found out what we were hoping, so it's kind of good," Showalter said of the MRI.
