Trey Mancini made it to the finals of the 2021 Home-Run Derby, but came up just short to Pete Alonso from the New York Mets.
"Just being here and being in this atmosphere is incredible," No. 6 seed Mancini told ESPN in between the semifinal and final rounds.
The Baltimore Orioles' first baseman and outfielder hit 24 home runs in the first round, beating Oakland's Matt Olson, who came up short with 23.
Then, in the semifinals, Colorado's Trevor Story went first and hit 12 home runs only to be bested by Mancini, who hit 13.
