SARASOTA, Fla. -- Tuesday night's Rays-Orioles game at Ed Smith Stadium was canceled due to inclement weather, with no makeup scheduled. The rainout was the Orioles' first of the spring.

The O's were slated to start rotation hopeful Nestor Cortes Jr., with Miguel Castro, who's also fighting for the club's fifth rotation spot, expected to pitch in relief. But the Sarasota area was under a thunderstorm watch on Tuesday, with high winds and heavy rain expected throughout the evening. Both will pitch in relief of the club's top pitching prospect, Hunter Harvey, who will start against the Yankees on Wednesday night at 6:35 ET.
