Schoop's three jacks were also tied for most in the AL last week, as were his 13 hits. His .433 batting average ranked fourth in the league.
The 25-year-old Schoop, fresh off his first career All-Star Game appearance, has the third-most RBIs in the AL this season, behind only former teammate Nelson Cruz and Yankees rookie Aaron Judge. Schoop leads all Major League second basemen in homers, RBIs and extra-base hits.
"It's been fun to watch," Orioles manager Buck Showalter said Sunday. "Jon's a guy that's very unassuming. I could tell you three or four stories a day about him that would make you smile.
