There are now 89 days remaining until the next scheduled Orioles game, which is Opening Day. How fun! Pitchers and catchers are set to report to Sarasota for the start of spring training in a month and 13 days from now. That’s not too far off, you know, assuming that 2020 doesn’t reach out from a calendar past and continue to delay things. Unfortunately for all of us, the pandemic that dominated 2020 isn’t over just because we’re a few days into 2021.
Last month, Cardinals executive John Mozeliak said of the slow-developing free agent market that January is the new December.
