Saturday’s Bird Droppings: Where the Orioles have lost a series in a while

Good morning, Birdland!

First-half John Means is back! The left-handed pitcher has now put together two impressive back-to-back starts, allowing three runs and striking out 11 over 14 innings while lowering his ERA from 3.75 to 3.55. Folks, he is back on track to be a Hall of Famer. Rejoice!

The O’s are suddenly playing pretty good baseball. If they win again on Saturday, that will mean they have not lost a series in nearly two weeks. For this team, that is quite the achievement. Over the last 10 games only the Red Sox and Athletics have a better record in the AL.
