Saturday Bird Droppings: Where we hope that the Orioles slept fast

Hello, friends.

Another day has dawned with the Orioles in fourth place in the American League East. They are now 3.5 games back of the division-leading Red Sox, and thanks to their pulling off the wild win last night in the Bronx, they no longer have the worst run differential in MLB, either.

Baseball could have very easily been the worst last night. The game was full of blown opportunities and missed chances on the part of the Orioles, full of curious decisions made by Buck Showalter, like having Pedro Araujo facing the Aaron Judge-Giancarlo Stanton duo while Brad Brach was still out in the bullpen.
