The Orioles pathetic performance in September has brought us all to the point where we never wanted to be. They could both seal a losing season and their elimination from the playoffs tonight against the Rays.
An Orioles loss seals the losing season. A loss combined with a Twins win would mathematically eliminate the O’s with six games still to play. That’s a failed season right there. No point in pretending anything differently than that.
The horror show isn’t over yet. Jeremy Hellickson is pitching again tonight, because that’s what we all deserve, apparently.
