Cal Ripken Jr.'s baseball operation is about to get Goofy... and Mickey and Minnie and Donald.
The Orioles legend's Ripken Baseball is launching a youth baseball academy at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Ripken Baseball will start operating tournaments at ESPN's Wide World of Sports complex. Disney is calling it The Ripken Experience, and says kids will get a chance to play baseball and take in the Disney theme parks in Florida during the same trip. The Ripken Experience will welcome players from 6 to 18 starting next year.
Ripken Baseball started in Aberdeen, and also has complexes and tournaments in South Carolina and Tennessee.
