TORONTO -- Tim Beckham did his best to fill in offensively for the recently departed Manny Machado, but the 28-year-old still has some work to do on defense.
Beckham put the Orioles ahead in the fifth inning with a two-run blast over the center-field wall, but he made an errant throw to first base in the 10th inning that put the game-winning run on base in the Blue Jays' 8-7 win over the Orioles.
Baltimore's offense was dormant for most of the night, but it came alive late, scoring a pair of runs in the eighth to cut Toronto's lead to three.
