O’s prospects 5/31: Bombs away in Norfolk

Gabriel Ynoa was scoreless through three innings, but got into trouble and allowed three runs in the fourth. He ended up leaving the game after recording only one out in the fifth.

The Tides still had a comfortable 7-3 lead after teeing off on Kyle Kendrick. Pedro Alvarez hit a three-run shot in the 4th, his 12th homer of the year. Chris Dickerson and David Washington both homered in the 6th.

The 7th was when it fell apart for the Norfolk bullpen. Steve Johnson was replaced by Paul Fry with runners on first and second, and Fry subsequently walked a better to load the bases.
