The Tides lost in 12 innings last night, wasting some great pitching. Starter Ariel Miranda went 7.0 IP with just one run, four hits and no walks against five strikeouts. Oliver Drake (2.0 IP), Ashur Tolliver (1.0 IP) and Pedro Beato (1.0 IP) each did their jobs, while final reliever Edgar Olmos walked three while getting just one out before the winning run scored. The offense did very little, as Mike “Lil’ Yaz” Yastrzemski had three hits and Christian Walker with his two were the only Tides batters to have more than one hit in a game where every starter had at least five plat appearances.
