CHICAGO -- The Orioles' lack of offense has been well-documented, especially in a week when they have scuffled against the rebuilding White Sox. But a day after manager Buck Showalter called his team's offensive issues "glaring" and cited a lack of runs for the Orioles' issues remaining competitive, Baltimore's bats came alive.
The Orioles erupted for nine runs over the first three innings and got home runs from Trey Mancini and Adam Jones in a 9-3 victory on Thursday that allowed the Orioles to earn a split of the four-game series at Guaranteed Rate Field.
