Orioles' Yovani Gallardo exits after just two innings

Orioles right-hander Yovani Gallado had hit shortest outing in nearly four years on Friday night against the Kansas City Royals.

Gallardo left Friday’s game at Kauffman Stadium after two innings, pulled after just 45 pitches. The Royals scored four runs off Gallardo, including three just five batters into the game.

It marked his shortest start since April 27, 2012, when he allowed eight runs over two innings while pitching for the Milwaukee Brewers against the St. Louis Cardinals.

There was no indication that Gallardo left the game for physical reasons.
