Orioles' Trey Mancini awarded 2021 AL Comeback Player of the Year

The Baltimore Orioles may not be in the World Series this season, but some awards are bigger than baseball.

On Thursday, MLB players voted Orioles first baseman/designated hitter Trey Mancini as the 2021 American League Comeback Player of the Year.

Nobody would have been surprised if Mancini decided to step away from baseball in 2020.

During a routine blood test for the Orioles, Mancini was advised to be evaluated further after his iron levels were low.
