Injuries have been at the center of the Baltimore Orioles being the most disappointing team in baseball, and now an injury could be throwing a wrench into the front office's plans for the MLB trade deadline. Closer Félix Bautista was, perhaps, the biggest trade chip the Orioles had to offer with the deadline approaching, and now, it seems Baltimore will be forced to hold onto the veteran reliever. The Orioles announced on Thursday that Bautista has been placed on the 15-day IL with right shoulder discomfort.
Right-handed pitcher Kade Strowd was recalled to take Bautista's spot on the Orioles' 26-man roster.
