MLB announced its 2022 schedule Wednesday, and all 30 clubs will begin the regular season Thursday, March 31. The Orioles will host the Toronto Blue Jays for a three-game series to open the season before hitting the road to play the Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays. It’s the first traditional Opening Day at Camden Yards since 2018, when the Orioles opened the season with a 3-2 win over the Minnesota Twins in 11 innings on Adam Jones’ walk-off home run.
The Orioles begin 2022 with 18 games against American League East opponents and a 10-game road trip through Oakland, Los Angeles and New York.
