The Baltimore Orioles on Thursday announced that they reinstated left-handed pitcher John Means from the 60-day injured list.

Means was placed on the injured list in April. He was pulled from his second start of the season with a forearm muscle strain.

Means was originally placed on the 10-day injured list before being transferred to the 60-day injured list close to a week later.

It was later revealed that Means would undergo Tommy John Surgery on his left elbow. The surgery ended his 2022 season.

Tommy John surgery, also known as ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction, is used to repair a torn ulnar collateral ligament inside the elbow.
