The Baltimore Orioles on Wednesday announced they have selected the contract of outfield prospect Colton Cowser.
Cowser, 23, will make his first appearance in the majors Wednesday night when the Orioles play the New York Yankees. He will wear No. 17.
Cowser was ranked 14th on the MLB's 2023 prospect list. He was the Orioles' No. 2 prospect.
The left-handed batter spent the beginning of the 2023 season at Triple-A Norfolk. Cowser had a batting average of .330, with 10 home runs and 40 runs batted in with the Tides.z
Cowser became the second prospect to be promoted by Baltimore in recent weeks.
