Orioles minors recap 5/11: Plenty of offense for Baysox, Shorebirds

The Tides drop a tough one here, but it was a great night for starter Yefry Ramirez. He tossed 6.2 innings of two-run baseball, walking none and striking out eight Bulls batters. He didn’t get the loss and certainly didn’t deserve it with those numbers.

The offense scattered eight hits but was able to get four of the extra-base variety. D.J. Stewart and Drew Dosch both tallied doubles, while Joey Rickard hit a two-out solo home run in the top of the first to boost his Norfolk batting average to .299.

Bowie Baysox 7, Hartford Yard Goats 6

Another game, another plus outing from a starter.
